How to Repack Single Packages? Why did my order arrive in separate shipments from the merchant?

In general, each package you ship with MyMalls includes fixed and variable costs. The fixed costs include the MyMalls handling fee, and the DHL per-package basic fees. By letting you combine up to 5 packages into a single shipment, you can save up to 60 $US!

What is a consolidation?

Consolidation is another word for re-packing multiple packages into a single package, made as small as possible, to allow you to realize savings both in terms of overall volumetric weight, and the avoidance of duplicated fixed costs.

How do I request this service?

It’s easy! In fact, that’s the focus of today’s  article. Let’s have a detailed look at how it works.

Step 1: Add more than one package to your Suite

When you've checked out at an online store, your shipment will be sent to your suite. As soon as it has arrived, you will be notified. When more than 1 package has arrived, you'll see a "Combine" button appear in the upper right area. Don't get too excited! Wait until you're sure all your packages have arrived.

If you’re planning multiple purchases, you can of course take advantage of MyMalls 60-day free storage policy to give you time to have multiple packages arrive to our warehouse in order to consolidate them!

Step 2: Select which packages you want to consolidate

After clicking the “Repack & Combine” button, you’ll be presented with a screen that allows you to choose which packages you want to combine into one.

  • You can combine up to 3 packages for free!

  • You can combine 4-in-1 for an additional $10 on top of the MyMalls handling fee.

  • You can combine 5-in-1 for an additional $15 on top of the MyMalls handling fee.

  • More than 5 packages in your suite?
If you have more than 5 packages in your suite, let's say 6 packages, we advice you to make 2 separate "Repack and Combine" requests so you can combine 4-in-1 and 2-in-1 packages. This way you will ship 2 packages that have been repacked in the smallest way possible, which will save you more on shipping costs in the end.

After you've selected the packages, click the "Combine" button, to submit the consolidation request. A tip from us to you: Double-check which packages you have selected before hitting the button.

Step 3: Wait for us to approve your consolidation

Your packages will go into a "Pending Consolidation State" after submitting your consolidation request. This means that we are reviewing your request, which usually takes less than 24 hours during business days.

Step 4: Pay for your combined package

We will send you a notification by email once we approve your request. When you enter your suite, you'll see your combined package available for payment. Once paid, our hard-working magicians will process your package and make sure that your package gets delivered to your doorstep as quickly as possible.

Step 5: Sit pretty and receive your packages at your doorstep!

At that point, the process continues just like a normal package, after which the hard-working elves in our warehouse will spring into action to get your package delivered to your doorstep safe and sound, and within 1 to 3 days!

How to Repack my Single Package?

Repackaging —in the context of MyMalls warehouse operations—is the transfer of the contents of a package from its original shipment box to a smaller one in order to save costs on the final destination shipment.

As a general practice, we always look for repackaging opportunities to save you costs. If you expect your incoming items could benefit from repackaging, we encourage you to alert us of that as soon as your package is in our warehouse.

I am receiving separate packages from the same vendor

Many merchants will immediately ship that portion of your order which they have in stock, placing the remainder on "back order", to ship as items become available.

Vendors such as Amazon allow you to choose whether to ship items separately once available, or wait until all items are available to ship together.

Depending on the merchant, there is usually no cost difference between the two. For this reason we offer a FREE service that allows you to combine 3 packages into 1.
