Mandatory One-Time Authorization

The Cayman Islands Customs and Border Control (CBC) requires a one-time authorization before importing goods via any courier service.
This authorization links your shipments to your individual importer account.

To apply:

Visit the Cayman Customs Online Portal (COLS).
Register and obtain your importer number.
Provide this authorization to DHL, FedEx, or UPS before your first import to prevent clearance delays.

Once approved, the authorization remains valid for all future shipments.

Special Handling Considerations

Certain products may be subject to restrictions or additional documentation requirements, such as:

Cosmetics and beauty products containing alcohol
Perfumes, aerosols, and pressurized containers
Electronics with batteries
Food supplements or perishables

If your package contains restricted or hazardous items, MyMalls can:

Remove prohibited items and ship the rest
Return restricted items to the sender
Hold them for pickup at the MyMalls facility

Cayman Brac & Little Cayman

Deliveries to Cayman Brac and Little Cayman are available through DHL, FedEx, and UPS with certain limitations:

Delivery times may extend by 1–3 additional business days due to inter-island transfer schedules.
Some services require pickup from a local handling agent instead of direct doorstep delivery.
Customs clearance is completed in Grand Cayman before transfer to the Sister Islands.

For urgent shipments, use DHL Express or FedEx Priority to minimize transit time.

Tax and Duties

Shipments to the Cayman Islands are delivered Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU).
This means import duties and taxes are payable by the receiver upon delivery.
