How does MyMalls insurance work ?
Package insurance covers loss or damage of your package during international shipment.
Package insurance does not cover damage to used or second-hand merchandise, indirect loss or damage, loss or damage caused by delays, or loss or damage of items sent by the seller to your member address before receipt. Be sure to read our Terms of Use for additional details.
How much does MyMalls insurance cost?
If the declared value of your package is less than 100 $US, then insurance is included for free.
Between 101 $US and 1,000 $US, insurance is optional, and will cost you 2.5% of the declared value.
Above 1,000 $US, and insurance is required and will cost you 2.5% of the declared value.
You will be presented with the option to add insurance during the normal shipping process in which you pay for your shipment. We can only offer insurance for package values up to a maximum of 5,000 US$ per shipment.
What to do if my insured package is lost or damaged?
If unfortunately your parcel is lost or received damaged, here are the steps to follow :
Initiate claim:
within 30 days after shipment has been purchased with DHL Express
within 21 days after shipment has been purchased with FedEx
Provide us with pictures of the damaged item/s, the packaging material and outer damage of the box.
